You heard wrong. Minor possession of Marijuana in NV is a misdemeanor.

Possession of any amount of Cocaine in NV is a felony.

In Nevada, possession of cocaine is a felony and can lead to six years in prison. Possession of more than 14 grams of cocaine can get you 20 years. Possession of 28 grams can get life without parole in Nevada.

No, marijuana is a misdemeanor if you are 21yrs of age or older and possess less then 1oz in Nevada (at least for the first few offenses_), Cocaine is a felony.
