Can you become a pharmacy tech with having a criminal background in the state of oregon?

C-C asked:

I was wondering if anyone knew if you could get a job as a pharmacy tech or even take the PTCB test with a past drug possession charge (in oregon)?
(it was a small charge that was over 3 years ago)
Wow, its amazing how judgmental people can be without even know much about a situation.

Don’t know the law, but I doubt that any pharmacist would hire you knowing that the criminal charge was for drugs.

There is no way that they will trust you, nor willing to take on that kind of liability if you happen to short someone to feed your own habit.

Sorry

Probably not.
Any type of drug charge pretty much eliminates any chance of working in the medical field.
