Possession Of Cocaine: FBI crews remain tight-lipped on Hazmat home search
A team of eight FBI agents in containment suits converged on a Douglas Road home in West Toledo Wednesday afternoon where an unknown substance was found the night before. The FBI agents from Detroit and Quantico, Va., investigated the grounds and inside the residence at 4716 Douglas Rd., with specialized equipment. An FBI official said this is a drug investigation and not a counter-terrorism investigation. The FBI, though, remain tight-lipped on what they are looking for. A three-block radius of Douglas Road, between Sylvania Avenue and Laskey Road, remains closed to traffic while local and federal law enforcement conduct their investigation. Though the property is cordoned off with yellow police tape, neighbors were allowed in and out. The suspect in the raid, 51-year-old Thomas Wineingar, was arrested and also decontaminated. He faces nine state charges including drug abuse, aggravated possession of drugs (psilocybin mushrooms), illegal manufacture of drugs, trafficking in cocaine, possession of criminal tools, and possession of cocaine.
