Lie detectors/polygraph test is no longer considered admissible, at least in many criminal courts. And a lot of commercial drug tests give false positives – the rate varies.
Background checks are one of the best safeguards.
I wouldn’t consider a DWI an automatic disqualifier for employment, unless it was recent.
I don’t doubt any of this for a moment. Just do a Google search on “2001-HL-0066” for corruption in prisons,? and Google the phrase “Hick Farmer Sigmund Freud Wannabes” for an encyclopedia of article related to CPS and child drugging corruption. CPS routinely coaches children to make false allegations, and then they call the kids LIARS if they try to recant what they were intimidated into saying or acknowleging.
