Frank Pastore is a former professional baseball pitcher for the Cincinnati Reds from 1979 until 1985, and for the Minnesota Twins in 1986. On June 4, 1984, in Dodger Stadium, all of that changed when Frank was struck in the elbow by a line drive ending his professional baseball career. He became a Christian in late 1984 and eventually went on to earn a Masters Degree in Philosophy of Religion and Ethics in December 1994 and directed the Talbot Institute for Biblical Studies, a church-based training ministry to help churches establish their own lay institutes for Christian education.
