A local news report in Louisiana about a White family was brutally murdered by five Black men. On Feb 18, 2012, deputies found two deceased murder victims 74-year-old Robert Irwin Marchand and 50-year-old Douglas Dooley. The third victim 72-year-old Shirley Marchand.was found barely alive and taken to the hospital where she died 13 days later. The victims had their throats slashed and body beaten when their home was robbed in a planned home invasion. Their safe was stolen and killed for their coin collection. I tried doing a search on this case at CNN and found ZERO results. The Marchand family murder failed to get national coverage by the News like the Petit family murder did on CNN: topics.cnn.com After an investigation the police found Five Black suspects who were arrested. Devon James Bernard James Michael Aikens Rolondo Stewart Travis Moore Aikens, Stewart and Moore all have extensive criminal records with the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office. Aikens was arrested in 1996 for armed robbery and possession of cocaine; in 1997 for possession of drugs; in 2000 for illegal use of a weapon. Stewart was arrested in 2009 for disturbing the peace; in 2011 for illegal carrying of a weapon and possession of marijuana; in 2012 for attempted murder and introduction of contraband into a penal facility.
