Possession Of Cocaine: Drugs Operation Sees Barnsley Pubs ‘Locked Down’
A major police operation took place in Hoyland on Friday night after landlords complained of an increase in drug use in the area. Some 30 officers and a drug dog visited six pubs in Hoyland, Hoyland Common, Jump and Elsecar as part of a crack-down which saw 30 people searched and two found to be in possession of cocaine, one of cannabis. Many others admitted to using drugs earlier on in the evening, but had none in their possession at the time of the search.
