    @ Rawbert: The actual name of the charge itself is “Simple Possession,” he isn’t saying the charge was simple. I’ve seen enough of them as a recruiter for the Army to know about it and I had to tell every last one of them that if they was guilty they can’t enlist.

    The best thing to do is go straight to a recruiter and ask because standards change all of the time. If it was dismissed your chances are a lot higher than if you was guilty because the last time I checked (a few months ago) drug convictions were being denied by all branches except for the National Guard in some states.
