How Often or Frequent Does One Have to Take Cocaine Before He/she Is Considered to Be a Regular User?
Question by maz235: How often or frequent does one have to take cocaine before he/she is considered to be a regular user?
Reading alot about cocaine on the web, i am constantly seeing the word ‘regular’ with no indication of what ‘regular’ refers to, very unhelpful.
Does anyone know for sure?

I would say monthly. Shit, yearly. With such a drug as cocaine, you can’t use the terms regular because, as you’ve found, there are a ridiculous number of variances and interpretations. The only way to describe drug use is daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly. This “recreational” and “regular” bullshit is too encompassing.

Sounds a lot like a gambler to me. I’ll just do it till I’m broke.
Or with drugs,” I’ll just take them until I can’t stop by myself”
Are they really that much fun. I see a lot of people at AA meetings
who wish they had not gone down that road.

i’d say regular user refers to someone who pretty much uses on a daily basis. The extent does not really matter, but if they ve been using daily on a regular basis, be it for a month or a year than thats it. Everyday, a couple times a day, or at least once a day – is regular use. People can go on and offf, but they are considered to be a regular user when theyve been using daily for at least a couple of weeks straight
It is different for everyone with drugs, but the word ‘regular’ refers to one’s dependency to the drug. If the person uses the drug enough to need it they are not only addicted, but considered a regular user.
