Why Do Some People Become More Addictive to Cocaine Than Others?

Question by Scoots: why do some people become more addictive to cocaine than others?
I remember when I was younger on the weekends a group of us would buy cocaine. For most of the group we only did it on weekends, had good jobs, maintained a normal lifestyle during the workweek. A few in the group became addicted to the point where they lost their cars, girlfriends, job. Sold anything and everything they could to obtain cocaine. Most of us grew out of it, but a few went downhill. All of us for the most part as far as I know were equal in every way in life. We grew up together, played together went to school together, and hung out together. All of us came from middle class families. There were 8 of us all together. 5 of us no longer use cocaine, 3 of us use pot recreationally. I guess my question is “What causes some people to make cocaine a lifestyle and some of us don’t”? Is there a genetic link to an addictive personality. I have observed some people use cocaine and walk away from more while others immediately wanted more.

It’s like 5-10 minute high, depending if you got the un-cut Columbian Fish Scale, this sh*t is good! But anywayz, the high feels good, you do it all night, and when you’re done I guess some get a feeling of depression and feel that they should buy another 8-ball later and that will be eat, but the feeling is so intense they LOVE IT! And keep buying it and buying it, and then get hooked, they steal, they sell things at the pawn shop, get kicked out, start robbing people on the streets, then move to crack cause that’s all they could afford and pretty much only come out when it’s dark to find their dealers. 🙂

It is in our genes. Some just have addictive personalities usually of any drugs from alcohol to cocaine. I have met people who only became addicted to stimulants and some only who liked downers. Also some who became adicted to every drug ever made. Just in the genes.

You can not be more or less addicted to cocaine or to drugs, you are just simply ADDICTED! And if you are on this point of addiction you are done ,…your life is done! It is true, you have a lot of ways to “escape”, you can try therapy, but some people are not strong enough to pass through.
    So wathch out, my friends!
