What Could Cause a False Positive for Cocaine?

Question by Garrett: What could cause a false positive for cocaine?
I just recently got out of the military and applied for a new job. When I took the drug screen it came up positive for cocaine. The current medications I’m taking are klonapin, aderrall (dextroamphetamine), blood pressure med, and a combination of steroids. Nandralone decanate (Deca), Equipoise, and a blend of testosterone (Cypionate, Propianate, Acetate, and i think Decanate. Could any of these be the reason why I tested positive?

  • George:

Teelo, that is correct adderall will show up positive for amphetamine, however, why would that mean it would show up positive? Cocaine and amphetamine are not in the same family. Cocaine comes from the coca plant in South America, while amphetamine is chemically made in a lab and no way related to the coca plant.

None of those drugs you’ve just listed are no ay related to the coca plant. No idea why you’re cocaine positive.

Besides, the military wouldn’t want somebody who pops about a dozen pills a day, sorry.
