Confidential is the the new art movement in 2110. Embracing the prophecy that the government will fall in any possible form, W.A.C.O (Willing Adversaries to Central Operation) operates from individuals’ houses or any other place where there is a sight of a hole to fill or a wall to cover. With few mad painters and writers becoming known to the public for heresy to the government, many simply view the W.A.C.O “movement” as nothing more than an opportunity to quit on life and become lesser than what man should be. Indeed, many W.A.C.O members believe the same thing. When Winston, W.A.C.O’s minister of truth, suddenly declares war against the United States, every art form is put on halt besides that which supports the government view, and countless citizens are torn between the potential civil war. The novel takes the reader through numerous citizens thoughts regarding the war and their reasons for holding certain beliefs about government, W.A.C.O, and life.

As a artist, I would still do art, Art makes me feel alive, like a drug thats not addictive or self-harming. Nothing except no art materials would prevent me from doing it, and even then, I’d still find ways, make favors and back market deals to get my art materials. But it would be nearly impossible for government to ban these. All I need is a paper and pen, things you find in every place. If paper is only given when absolutely necessary, and the government controls the distribution like food-shares, I’d draw on my body, under my clothes. I’d draw on walls, on floors, Anywhere there is a light flat surface a marker or pen can imprint and ink on.
Even if the government found a way of controlling the possession and usage of pens, I’d look for them at school campuses (which many workable ones are dropped or littered). Or even make my own paint/ink from plants, which the government couldn’t possibly control, they don’t have the resources. And if I went a little crazy, I’d use my blood. My art cant be controlled, it seems to have a life and nature of it’s own that cant be contained, unless I was tortured, or my hands chopped of. My art consumes and possesses me. It’s where I find and enter into “The Zone”.
