Question by Trevor Reznik: Can doing cocaine kill you if you have mitral valve prolapse?
I still have to get tested but I believe I have mitral valve prolapse. I know cocaine is not good but can snorting a few lines of it kill me?
And I don’t want the cliche “yes drugs can kill you” answer. This was just a one time thing earlier and I want to know if I have anything to be worried about. Much appreciated.

Actually, cocaine has the potential to kill at any point, even without the prolapse. It puts unusual strain on the heart (and other parts of the system). Having any unusual conditions (even those that are normally not problematic) in the heart significantly increases the risk of cocaine-related complications.
Probably because cocaine does have some effects on your heart, like increasing the rate and other things. Cocaine does fuck you up anyway dude. If it’s any drug cocaine is definitely not the way to go.
