By thugs do you mean Miami Hurricanes?well ray lewis did murder someone, allegedly. So Ravens.
Hmmm, Thugs. It’s pretty tough, if you look at the Steelers you have James Harrios who’se one of the most fined players in the league but last week got a stupid call on him. You have Ben Roethlisberger who was accused of something bad but wasn’t proved guilty.
I think it’s the Jets, you have their coach whose a dip, but really funny. Then you have a trainer last year who tripped a player. You have Plaxico Buress who just got out of jail but is looking good now. Last year they had Braylon Edwards who pretty much dawged a midget who happened to be Lebron James’ friend.
The Jets aren’t a good team. Maybe with all the talent they have their record is bad karma.
The New York Giants, hav you seen their secondary defenders, they all look like they take weed.
I’m surprised nobody said Eagles because of Mike Vick yet. But I’d say Steelers.
@N, ‘taking’ weed does not cause physical deformity, so 9/10 times you wouldn’t know the difference.
RatBird Ravens
2008, Ray Lewis issues bounty on Steelers rookie RB Rashard Mendenhall before a game against the Steelers, in the third quarter Ray Lewis breaks his shoulder
and he got away with it!!!! No fine No penalty, no warning ! NOTHING!!! that wins all time thug award
announcing you are going to injure somebody and get away with breaking their shoulder – he just said he was joking and the whole thing was swept under the rug gangster style
he also beat a murder charge
I’d have to agree that putting out a “hit” on a player, then breaking his shoulder,
While the NFL does nothing, is a big start, for thug of the year.
getting involved in a murder, where you ARE charged, and you have to resort to a “deal” to rat on your friends to stay out of jail, then take a plea deal, admitting that you lied to the court,, then having to pay off the families, to keep it out of court, pretty well puts you at the head of the thug class.
This is probably the best known “incident”, since is a murder charge.
Dante Stallworth was suspended by the NFL for the 2009 season after pleading guilty to DUI manslaughter charges in Florida.
Then Ravens picked him up, the next season. (?)
“Raven CB Jimmy Smith’s assault arrest record…, Raven coach Andy Moeller’s DUI arrest…, Raven LB Sergio Kindle’s DUI arrest…, Raven OL Tony Fein’s arrest…, and (Former) Raven FB Lorenzo Neal’s DUI arrest – all since Ray arrived in 2008.
I’m sure he had no reservations about the team’s records before he became a Raven… you know, like DB Gerome Sapp’s assault arrest, DB Corey Fuller’s gun and gambling charges, KR B.J. Sam’s two DUI arrests, RB Jamal Lewis’ “conspiracy to possess cocaine w/ the intent to distribute” charges, CB Chris McAlister’s DUI, possession of marijuana and disturbing the peace charges, LB Terrell Suggs’ felony aggravated assault charges, LB Cornell Brown’s possession of marijuana charges, OL Leon Searcy’s domestic violence arrest, or Ray-Ray’s murder charge…”
That’s a lot of DUI and drug charges, to go with the 2 deaths.
The Packers had a bad month in November,
“November 25, 2011 Packers LB Erik Walden is arrested for suspicion of assault.
November 17, 2011 Suspended Packers defensive lineman Johnny Jolly, who has been arrested four times on drug charges, has been sentenced to six years in prison.”
But I wouldn’t call them thugs.
I think that the Ravens have that pretty well sewn up,
When did tackling a running back,
or partying with a Birthday girl (who ALREADY lied to the bounce to sneak in), in a club full of people,
make someone a thug?
there where NO charges brought against anyone in either incident.
Tough quuestion but i will go with Eagles
