Mixing Cocaine and Xanax?
Question by Valeria Castaneda: Mixing cocaine and xanax?
My friend did some cocaine this morning about 6 hours ago and she’s supposed to take her prescribed Xanax soon. If she takes it will this react with the cocaine she took earlier? And if so, what will happen?
I’d really appreciate it if I don’t get preached about how cocaine is bad and yada yada yada. We know it’s bad but we’d just like this answered. Thanks.

mixing cociane and xanax might be fatal
it will reduce the effect of the cocaine since they work in opposite ways. some people prefer to use both at the same time to keep them calmer
It is not that these combos are ‘bad’ Vx, but they put stress on the body when you do an stimulant and a depressant together. Coke and benzos I would not do together, because that would seem to defeat the purpose of both, but if you were to do benzos on the comedown of coke, as long as you don’t do too much of each, that is ok IMO. But together they would stress the heart too much, as that particular organ would be stimulated and depressed at the same time, though you may not notice it. You can get a heart attack this way, or any number of heart troubles.
Now, if you want to combine opiates and benzos, as many people do, you must be extra careful in the doses you take. Two depressants taken together in low doses, have a much greater effect on resperation than just a high dose of one, this is why so many have died with this combo. If you do it, please, please, please, only take a small amount of each. You will be suprised at the power of this combo, it can make for an extremely relaxing evening, or if you take too much, a permanent evening, get my drift? Play safe, and take care.
It depends on how much cocaine she took and the dose of xanax. And before I go any further, she should call her doctor and ask him what he thinks. Doctors are not cops. They don’t keep tabs on your drug habits so its better to talk to someone who really knows what they are talking about in the first place.
Taking cocaine with xanax is basically mixing an upper with a downer. And they don’t cancel each other out. Instead they complement each other and intesify the affects of the drug.
The reason I brought up how much cocaine she used is because if she did a lot then she’s probably on what’s called the “drip” where cocaine that didn’t get absorbed by the sinuses slowly goes through the back of the throat and into the stomach where it is slowly absorbed. This also means the cocaine will take longer to get out of her system. What also matters is how pure the coke was. If she took something that was mixed with some other toxic substance, then all bets are off if she starts adding xanax into the mix.
My bet is that if she asks her doctor, he’s going to tell her to take a half dose of the xanax for today, stop using cocaine, and resume normal dosing of xanax tommarow.
