Advice Greatly Needed. Arrested in Spain for Possessing Drugs. What Will Likely Happen Next?
Question by T: Advice greatly needed. Arrested in Spain for possessing drugs. What will likely happen next?
My boyfriend bought ecstasy off a man whilst we were in Ibiza. He offered him a very cheap price if he agreed to buy more which he did. (We used it heavily whilst we were there and figured it was cost effective) he went up a street and made the exchange. I was very weary and had no involvement. When he returned, my boyfriend out them in my bag, stating he would put them in the scooter compartment as soon as he counted his money.
We were back on the street at this point and began to count his cash for the beach activities we were about to do. A passing police van saw him and stopped us.
They searched us both and arrested us.
My boyfriend admitted he’d purchased them and they were his.
We were locked up and the next day had our statements taken and were taken to court.
We were told we would go to prison and offered €2000 bail each.
After a few days when friends had paid the bail we were released.
We were given bail documents and allowed to leave the country.

you know pretty much anything can be considered a disqualifier as the rule is that they can disqualify you for crimes of “moral turpitude” which mainly are like theft, fraud, etc etc. but they can consider most anything a “crime of moral turpitude”. the easiest crimes NOT to be disqualified for are more or less drug crimes (small possessions or use) because they mostly will allow you to prove that you have been rehabilitated, but for the other stuff, not usually at least not for a great number of years. You need to first that the state board in the state you are in look over your case and decide whether you could be licensed or not BEFORE you even apply to school, most states will do this.
