I’m 17 years old and recently got charged with possession of marijuana. I had around 2 1/2 grams. I have no criminal record and have never had any other charges, not even a traffic ticket/violation.
I have already scheduled classes with a “drug and alcohol abuse” center thinking the court/judge would assign them to me.
I was wondering how long (if any) I would have probation for, and also whether or not this will stay on my “record” when I become an adult (age 18).

Honestly it really depends on where you’re from or what the judge sentences you to. There is no blanket answer for how long it’ll last. I can’t quite help you with your last question, however. I would assume that it depends on how you handle your probation or anything else assigned to you from what you’ve done. The judge usually will decide if it’s something they will wipe from your record, or keep there.

I was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia (marijuana pipe) in Colorado in 2012. I was and still am a minor and had a few questions regarding certain topics.
I was issued a court date, faced a judge, plead guilty (obviously they had evidence), was charged with $ 100 fine, no community service/probation, etc. and then was free to go. My questions are:
Is this on my ‘record’? If so for how long and who can view it?
I’m filling out employment applications and they ask if I was charged with any crimes, not felonies, but how should I respond? I could be honest and say yes and explain later on if I was called for an interview or should I answer no because it was dismissed so easily and in the past and I’m not even sure if it is still sticking to me on my record.

Whether or not you qualify for Financial aid depends on the convistion and how old it is. Also, whether or not a rehab program was completed. You can get finacial aid after 1 year has passed if you r conviction was for posession.
How long since your conviction?
Was it posession, sale, intent to distribute, trafficking?
I think all of this makes a difference.
