Jenae:

There are no special scholarships – at least not national, widely- known scholarships to promote education amongst students with criminal records.

The good news, however, is that your boyfriend’s felony conviction will have NO impact on his eligibility for financial aid, so he’s just as qualified to apply as any other student.

The only type of criminal conviction that will affect an applicant’s eligibility for aid relate to drug crimes that were committed while the applicant was receiving Federal Student Aid. If you and your boyfriend review Question 23 on the FAFSA, you’ll discover that the relevant portion says:

Is Their a Statue of Limitation on a Felony That Will Allow a Felon to Teach in Georgia?

Question by : Is their a statue of limitation on a felony that will allow a felon to teach in georgia?
If a person is a one time non-violent felon and the charge is over 10 years old, will they be allowed to become a teacher?

Best answer:

Answer by W Y
The answer depends on the nature of the felony.

Georgia law prohibits anyone from getting a teacher’s certificate if they have been convicted of a felony involving “moral turpitude.” Not all crimes will prevent you from getting a certificate. The following are examples of crimes that do *not* involve moral turpitude (not all of them are felonies, but some are):

Driving under the influence
Carrying a concealed weapon
Unlawful sale of liquor
Fighting
Simple Battery
Simple Assault
Child abandonment
Possession of less than one ounce of marijuana

Quick New York Marijuana Laws Question.?

Question by Hey whats up: Quick New York Marijuana Laws question.?
Criminal Possession of Marijuana states””Any amount in a public place burning or open to public view” That is what it says for CPM on NORML.org

OPEN TO PUBLIC VIEW:

Would sitting in a car, with weed rolled in a dutch (he rolled it at home I guess) in your pocket count as open to public view? It wasn’t burning, and it was in my friends pocket, if you weren’t looking for it, you wouldn’t see/find it, and we were in a parked car, and there was no probable cause except foggy windows. The cops didn’t ask us if they could check, they put us under arrest and proceeded to search us and the car. I was on the phone while my friend was waiting for his girl friend when they showed up. It didn’t smell like weed in my car or anything. I didn’t know my friend had weed.
