Question by What-A-Secret: Father does cocaine//offspring has defect?
My child development teacher told me that if the dad does cocaine, it like sticks to his sperm (or somethin like that) and when he has a baby is can cause it to have a birth defect. I was wondering if you have to do the coke near the time of conception OR if it can be from way back and still stay to the sperm? Also, are there any other drugs that work like cocaine works in this situation?
Don’t worry, I’m just a curious kid. I’m not anywhere near this situation myself.

It would be near the time of conception.
Cocaine doesn’t “stick” to the sperm and alter it’s DNA, so usage 4 months ago isn’t going to matter.
When ejaculating, cocaine would be excreted along with the sperm if “daddy” was high.

Can Cocaine Be Whipped?
Question by Richard F: Can cocaine be whipped?
Now I know what this question looks like…a guy trying to invent a new drug. That isn’t the case at all. This question sprung from a conversation at starbucks last night. Obviously, none of us are chemistry majors, but we know cocaine is, in essence, a powder. So we were wondering if it would be possible to create a cocaine “cotton candy” or something of that nature. We don’t plan on it (none of us have ever seen cocaine in our lives) but just for sheer education purposes, we’d like to know.

You’d have to suspend the cocaine in something that could be whipped. and then I’m not so sure you’d want to suck it up your nose. I think (not 100% sure) that cocaine is most effective in your lungs. and not in your stomach.
