Can the State Charge Me With Possession of Cds After the Fact.?

Question by Holy: Can the state charge me with possession of cds after the fact.?
I was initially charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and found not guilty by the Judge. The same day the States Attorney filed a charge of possession of cds (marijuana). Is that legal?

Yes, since it is not technically double jeopardy due to it being a different charge.

Yes.
It is legal. Filing a charge does not mean there are charges.
Legally no such thing as “possession of cds after the fact.”
Legally the State filing a controlled dangerous substance charge does not mean the court has issued a charge.
