www.cops.com Officers Thomas Weigand and Todd Ploehs of the Cincinnati Police Department in Ohio conducts a traffic stop on a vehicle occupied by three males. The driver and one of the occupants are immediately taken into custody for outstanding warrants. When the last occupant is removed from the vehicle, the officers are forced to take him down when he becomes combative. He’s ultimately charged with resisting arrest and drug possession.

Those people should’ve fled from the police if they knew there was heroin in the car. They? shouldn’t have pulled over. The 2 people were very dumb enough to stop. But anyway I am VERY glad that the cops arrested them. : )

It’s standard procedure. Fewer police mean harsher methods have to be used to subdue the guy. Several cops using their weight to pin him is much safer than a lone? officer having to hyperextend the suspect’s arm. More police present makes for a stronger psychological deterrent.
The same principle is the reason why we have mounted police, and often use them for riot control. It’s not only a daunting site, but also a safe one because horses will not step on people if they can help it.
