If they didn’t arrest you at the scene I think you may be in the clear.

But know you now he wasn’t much of a friend.

And be careful who’s care you climb into in the future. Next time it may be a gun then everyone is taking a ride downtown.

You walked. You’re fine. If you didn’t get a ride downtown then you don’t even have it on your record (except maybe for an FI card, but those are pretty harmless).

He’s just trying to deflect the blame as all crack addicts do. Find a new friend.

  • Tim:

    You’re fine.
The car is his, so anything in it should be in his possession.
I can’t believe this stupid ‘friend’ of yours tried to pin a crack pipe on you…
I’m not sure what kind of friend he is but if one of my friends tried that on me I’d just straight up kick his ass.
Since the car is not your property, I’m fairly certain all you have to do is say that it isn’t yours. And you can also go in for a simple drug test if that is the case to prove your point. However, if you DO light up every once in a while I’m not sure what to do in this situation. Just because there is a warrant out for you doesn’t mean you’re in trouble…. it just means that the police want to talk to you about the incident. Just tell them what happened. If he’s driving at that kind of speed with illegal things in his car I’m sure that he’s had prior incidents.
So as long as you’re in good standing with the law I doubt they would take his word over yours.

You should be worried, not necessarily about a warrant this time, but about the kind of people you are hanging out with. Quite apart from the drug aspect, you are risking your life by traveling in a car going 120mph. In future, when you ride in anyone’s car, routinely check around the seat where you are sitting. If anything (weapons, booze, drugs, paraphernalia) is found in your immediate vicinity, it is considered to be “constructive possession” because it is within your “area of control.” And be prepared to say no to any ride where the driver is intoxicated, whether from alcohol or drugs. You were lucky this time. Don’t push your luck, or it will run out on you.

The main worry that you have… is calling a Crack Head… “(your) friend”…..
You can definitely become “guilty” by associations that you keep….
    in numerous situations….
You may have dodged the bullet on this particular event
unless they are able to extract YOUR fingerprints from the pipe…
then…well… get braced for a whole new story to unfold….

He has implicated himself in felony behavior…simply by his running
from the police…especially at these rates of speed….
So, there has to be a reason for this….the pipe is the strongest probability…

One of the biggest mistakes that people like this make
is thinking that the police are some kind of witless morons that simply
stumble through what they do on ignorance and other people’s “word”…..
