Drug Possession: Morning Meltdown 8-16-11

Morning Meltdown August 16, 2011 FBI adds ‘preppers’ to potential terrorists list “An FBI Denver Joint Terrorism Task Force handout being distributed to Colorado military surplus store owners lists the purchase of popular preparedness items and firearms accessories as ‘suspicious’ and ‘potential indicators of terrorist activities,'” an exclusive report by Oath Keepers reveals. Essentially, the government is conflating Americans who believe in being prepared for disruptions in normal circumstances with potential domestic enemies who bear scrutiny, and are recruiting those they patronize to spy and snitch on their customers. As potential terrorists. For such suspicious activities as buying storable food. And paying in legal tender. www.examiner.com —- Obama to automakers: ‘You can’t just make money on SUVs and trucks’ The country’s automakers should ditch their focus on SUVs and trucks in favor of smaller, more fuel-efficient vehicles, President Obama said Monday. “You can’t just make money on SUVs and trucks,” Obama said during a town hall forum in Cannon Falls, Minn. “There is a place for SUVs and trucks, but as gas prices keep on going up, you have got to understand the market. People are going to try to save money.” The president said his administration “turned around” the US auto industry and is calling on automakers to change the way they do business. thehill.com —- Bond denied for man arrested 99 times Bond was denied for a Chicago man arrested for the 99th time

I’m sure they feel the truthers (survivalists) are going off the grid and will stop spending their monies economically so this in the eyes of the state makes them terrorists but in my eyes it makes them prepared and smarter then the average person. Though this is just the beginning, prepare for a police state worse then Nazi Germany! Freedom is an illusion!

  • Carrie3570:

@Msakaalbany Us too. We have our utilities, and we do have a mortgage right now sadly. Everything else we try to pay in full immediately.

  • Msakaalbany:

We pay in cash so we dont have bills.

What next? They gonna contact the grocery stores and have them look for people who buy 20 lb bags of rice? They can send these notices out all they want. It is up to the store owners to do it or not. If you have a gun dealer or food distributer who does ask these questions etc. Let everyone you know what they are doing and take their business elsewhere. Shut em down. I use cash, never use even a ATM card anymore. So I guess being a prepper I made the DHS and FBI list.

giving Mr. Cluck a little internet exposer?

  • homunculis99:

I dont know but it seems logical. Why target one state? I just wonder what is next. I would have replied to you directly but i cant seem to do that on this craptastic moblie phone.

  • Carrie3570:

@homunculis99 I wonder if it’s already in every state, just not very well known.

  • homunculis99:

A surplus store in gulfport ms has gotten the notice to.

    1) As a kid I owned a 57 Chevy V8 two speed automatic weighing in at nearly 2 tons that got 20 mpg. Nuff said.
    2) This guy was obviously a dealer as well as an addict. But if I was looking at a mere 23% chance of conviction IF I was arrested I might consider crime as a business venture. NOT
    3) Alarm sensitivity is often set as high as possible, which isn’t needed in real intrusions. Locally repeated false alarm calls at the same location are billed to the alarm company. Calls have slowed. Duh ..

I couldn’t agree more with what you said about owning a larger vehicle. I knew people who would have probably survived if they only had a larger vehicle.
I’m not sure how they did it in Detroit but where I live the city imposes a $200 fine for each false alarm.
I don’t agree with profiling of survivalists but the DHS has been doing it for years now. If you arn’t doing anything illegal you have nothing to worry about… I think 🙂

  • vangard213:

Obama says that about large vehicles while he is traversing the country in the “big black monsters” aka “presidential buses”.Obama is a friggin joke.

Several years ago it was reported that in the future anyone using cash for anything would become a suspect of law.So I guess we are seeing that come true in some aspects.Wonder if FEMA is on the terrorist list ?

    @redtony58 Counterfeiting.

  • Carrie3570:

@Tardisius ohhhhh… that would be funny if it weren’t true.

  • Tardisius:

@Carrie3570 It looks like being a burgler in Detroit will be a lot safer than buying 5 gallon storage buckets in Dallas.

  • Carrie3570:

@curlybobz I wish we would tap our own oil. If I were president, that would be on the top of my list.

  • Carrie3570:

@redtony58 Good question Tony. When you get that answer, let me know.
