Drug Possession: Harry Levine: Researcher Exposing Unlawful Marijuana Arrests and Biased Policing Practices
Take Action: bit.ly Queens College Professor, Dr. Harry Levine, is the country’s leading researcher on marijuana arrests. His first report, co-authored with Deborah Peterson Smalls, Marijuana Arrests Crusade: Racial Bias and Policy 1997-2007, shed light on the illegal and racists marijuana arrests. His second report, NYC Marijuana Arrest Crusade Continues, and third report, Million a Year: The Costs of NYC Marijuana Possession Arrests, explain how policing practices exploit a “loophole” in the law. Oftentimes, the police demand that people — usually young people of color — empty their pockets, and when they do, the violation for marijuana possession turns into an arrestable misdemeanor for marijuana in public view.

And the claim that crimes have dropped to near zero after these pointless arrests is? a load of bullshit as well. The truth is, they haven’t even dropped to half.
That still doesn’t change the idiocy of your suggestion: that arresting innocent people is a good way to reduce crime. That kind of thinking is the basis of dystopia.? And I’m still yet to see causal relationship with marijuana smoking and crime rate.
look at the crime rate? in New York and the rest of the country from the late 80s to today. In the 90s and 2000s when there was a steep drop in crime, marijuana arrests skyrocketed to record highs.
What stats exactly am I supposed to look at?
Everything you said is a load of bullshit, and has no basis whatsoever. How about doing your? homework instead of spreading lies?
@kripdrip you don’t believe? your own bullshit do you?

Kripdrip your comment is that of a government shrill. Obviously your? children are going to be arrested too and suffer . Let us all hope their prison rapists are gentle and caring people too, like you. Maybe you could teach them ways to move and please their accosters so that they are not beaten too badly each time. They might enjoy the process like yourself.
