How Did Rush Limbaugh Avoid Being “Sent Up” to Prison After Pleasing Guilty for Illegal Drug Possession?

Question by : How did Rush Limbaugh avoid being “sent up” to prison after pleasing guilty for illegal drug possession?
Limbaugh quote: “Drug use, some might say, is destroying this country. And we have laws against selling drugs, pushing drugs, using drugs, importing drugs. … And so if people are violating the law by doing drugs, they ought to be accused and they ought to be convicted and they ought to be sent up”

If he were a black 19 year old with a bag of pot in his pocket, he would’ve spent 10 years in prison.

Limbaugh is a sick man. Sick. Hence, why extreme righties love him so much.

    $ $ $ $ $ $ $ MONEY$ $ $ $ $ $ $ $ $ $ $ $ $ $ $ $ the sleazy bag of dog sh*t makes like $ 50 MILLION dollars a year spreading his lies – and he can buy all the justice he wants.

    Limbaugh’s quote was in reference to ‘bad’ drug users. Not the innocent ones like him who deserve rehabilitation treatment for their substance abuse problems instead of jail.

    Another great legal institution. Plea bargaining. He worked out a deal. And to be fair, his drug use was that of painkillers, of legal drugs illegally used. A not uncommon problem, and which causes problems different from that of street drugs. I could argue that had he been a left leaning public figure, he wouldn’t have faced any legal charges. Instead, he would have publicly bemoaned his addiction and gone to rehab for a few weeks or months. And this is really old news.

    As the only Rush supporter with any balls pointed out, this is old news…LOL!!! He’s all better now. So it’s okay. It’s like any of the lies he told last week, their all old news now. In fact, any lie he tells today will be old news tomorrow, All that matters to Conservatives is what they say right now. The Bush presidency, old news.

    Actually, it was Vicodin, a narcotic that was legally prescribed for Limbaugh for a chronic SEVERE back problem. Over time… like many chronic pain patients, Limbaugh became addicted to the medication and started manipulating the system to get more in order for him to keep working, because his only other option was major surgery that would have put him out of commission for weeks or even months.

    When all this was revealed, Limbaugh agreed to go into rehab for a month and for subsequent drug testing for another year.
