They wanted 40% of my Youtube channel’s Adsense revenue after production costs, and more importantly, they wanted 50% of the show’s intellectual property in perpetuity. Let me clarify: they wanted to own 50% of the intellectual property of “Equals Three” for the rest of eternity and weren’t offering much in return. I have it all in writing. Hi, Jemile. Thanks so much for watching my video. 🙂 Symphonious7 is very talented. I’ve heard good things and bad things about networks. Some people are very happy being in one and others aren’t. But, due? to you tubes strict copyright issues, it’s almost necessary to be in a network, if one does video games and animation and wants to have ads on there videos. I really feel that networks are run a like a business. Sad to say.

Well he actually doesn’t own any stock. He owns stock options, which he can exercise(buy) at any time before they expire and and at the contract’s set price. So he doesn’t own any part of the company(yet), and if they were stock not options it would be a small part of? it.But I can see why he is upset, it’s still money that they promised him and now it’s going away.I loved this video and your take! What I see for round 3 is Maker going to court with him and signing NDA’s so we wont hear about it.
Sounds like they don’t have the money? to support there own forum from being hacked, or they have some enemies. But, yeah, sounds like a bust.
There’s one I’m almost a part of but it’s run like a community since it is small and little money is involved yet. Their forums are getting hacked every time they bring? them up so I’m more or less considering the network a bust.
And, the sad part is you tube seems to want everyone in a network. I’ve heard good and bad things about networks. I figured the only true way, for me to know is to join one. But, there’s nothing wrong at all, with not wanting or being in a network. I’m sure any network is? run like any other business.

It’s? bad for the youtube community and other networks as well. People are having trouble trusting their networks now. I’ve put off applying to a network for this reason.
I totally get what you are saying, and I agree once his contract is up. Then, he should be free to do what he wants too, but what if he signed other contracts as well? Concerning other stuff with makers studios. That’s what has? me wondering. But, I’m sure a lot of it, has to do with money, no doubt.
I’m not a fan of either one of myself. But, I am passionate? about any kind of you tube news. I think it’s a bad situation for both sides. And, hostess shouldn’t have been hurting either, but look at what happened there. So, who knows. I’m sure makers has a lot of other partners. I still want to wait and see what happens with all of this.
I found it very interesting. But, still there’s two sides to every story, RWJ and maker studios side? and some where in the middle is the truth.

I’m not a fan or RWJ by any means. But Maker isn’t gonna hurt for money as long as ShayCarl is part of it. And RWJ being a little drama queen isn’t helping? things. I have to agree though that his vids should be HIS vids. If he’s leaving Maker, he should keep the rights to all his videos. As well as not be a jerk to the members that made him what he is.

I don’t think you’re stupid and it was extremely rude of them to call you that. I honestly don’t know what they would say about my videos. I get very few trolls on my videos. I’m guessing they pick and chose as to what they wanted to hear and comment on that, depending on what side they are on. As, I mentioned both sides of this topic, as much as I could. Regardless, of who is on? what side. It’s a very bad sitution for both RWJ and maker studios.
