Taylor Swift received quite the birthday shocker early this morning when a man was caught trespassing at the Nashville home believed to have been purchased by Swift a couple years ago. Wielding a pocket knife and an explanation that he was surprising his girlfriend for her birthday — the 24-year-old man was arrested by police after successfully climbing a fence to gain access to the property. Luckily, Taylor’s security team was able to intercept the stalker’s attempt before he was able to make any contact with the Swift or her family — not to mention that Taylor was not even home seeing as she was photographed in London just yesterday with rumored boyfriend Harry Styles. But all of these details didn’t affect the stranger’s plans, because he revealed to police that he had hopped on a bus from Wisconsin to Taylor’s hometown of Nashville to surprise her for her 23rd birthday, even claiming that they had been communicating through social media. Prior to his road trip, the guy’s alleged Twitter account reveals a Thursday post wishing the Grammy winner a happy birthday along with a picture of the Nashville skyline — but only after his tweet of quote, “Had to go see about a girl.” Now as if all of this isn’t freaky enough — this incident ironically occurs just on the heels of British Cosmopolitan’s release of an interview with Taylor where she opens up about her fear of stalker occurances …
