Drug Possession: 03/17/2011 – Hailey Dunn Case – Billie Dunn Arrested For Drug Possession
COLORADO CITY – Billie Dunn, the mother of missing teen Hailey Dunn, was arrested Thursday evening for lying to investigators. Dunn was arrested by the Mitchell County Sheriff’s Office and the Mitchell County District Attorney’s Office. Authorities went to Billie Dunn’s house in Colorado City to serve a warrant out of Howard County to search what Shawn Adkins had on him. Dunn told authorities that Adkins wasn’t at the home, but he was, and as a result Dunn was arrested. Billie Dunn has been charged with three misdemeanors. The charges are Hindering Apprehension, Possession of a Dangerous Drug and False Report to a Police Officer. The drug charge was for a prescription drug that was in the house that Dunn did not have a prescription for. Dunn will go before a judge tomorrow to have a bond set. The Mitchell County DA would not comment any further on the case, but did say that Shawn Adkins has not been arrested. 13-year-old Hailey Dunn has been missing since December 27.

@allayna82 exactly. im not sure if you have read the affidavits from the police or not, but it sure does say a lot. everything billie and shawn has said is nothing but a huge lie. and the rest of the family….omg,after talking with them for the past almost 4 months…well,they are all just fkd up in the head.
@80amysue I get it now. It’s like if one of them tells what happened, they both go down. That’s why they’re both keeping quiet. Maybe Billie was forced into being a accomplis or maybe she was cruel and calculating and had everything to do with it. I hate to think that a mother (or any human) could do such a horrible thing to a child, but unfortunately it happens everyday and there’s nothing we can do about it because it keeps happening.
@allayna82 i agree. well, if they give any idea to where hailey may be then they will both end up in jail for sure. so they are just covering their asses,pretending like they have no idea what happened to hailey.
@80amysue I wonder what their reasoning is for not telling where she’s at (if they in fact do know) and if they killed her, I wonder what their reasoning would be. I have a gut feeling Shawn suffocated her perhaps on the couch like he wanted to see how it felt to take a humans life and just left her there and went to work and decided he should come home and hide or dispose of the body. I just sense he’s a total weirdo. This case totally creeps me out. I seriously doubt Billie is innocent either.

@80amysue omg… yeah, I just saw a video where she said she had a 1 year no trespassing order against him. She’s really making me angry because she is acting 2 faced. Don’t you think? She’s a fake chick and a big phony. She portrays herself one way to the media like talking bad about Shawn and acting like she’s the total victim, and then behind closed doors, when the camera’s are off, she’s secretly still seeing Shawn! how fake is that? @allayna82 dead serious. right now billie has this trespassing order on him,so he cant live in her house for a year. but they are still seeing each other in snyder and in dunn.
@80amysue Are you serious? but I’ve seen news reports saying that he was living elsewhere. If that’s true then I’m really disgusted with her. I think there’s something way to strange about this case.

Why the hell would Shawn even be in her house? Maybe it was a setup? I know if my bf was the main suspect in my kids disappearance the last place he’d be is in my home. I’m starting to wonder if Billie knows something or was involved in hailey gone missing.
