Critics have argued it is the harshest sentencing law in the United States. Life sentences have been handed down for stealing a pair of pants, shoplifting, forging a check and breaking into a soup kitchen. Although other states have three strike laws, California is the only state where a life sentence can be handed down for a nonviolent crime that could qualify as a misdemeanor, such as petty theft or drug possession. We speak to Michael Romano, director of the Three Strikes Project at Stanford Law School and a co-author of Proposition 36, and to Judge LaDoris Cordell, a retired Superior Court Judge. Before you ask what they are trying to do and want, you should establish firm evidence that there are demons in the first place. As there are no such evidence your just wasting time and effort asking that question.
This idea of possession is a myth, but it is very easy to understand and explain why we have such myths. I was working closely for almost 5 years with two people suffering from schizophrenia. In general people with that mental disorder have a hard time keeping their “self” collected. So they more or less loose their own notion of their self occasionally (together with other symptoms). When that happens and they “loose it” so to speak and the brain enters a much more primitive uncontrollable state, the thinking becomes more controlled by primal instincts and fear and there is little or no rational thinking. This also means that they cannot understand/accept what you are saying to them no matter how rational, kind, logical you are trying to be – in that sense it’s like dealing with a scared wild animal. Still, they can say things and behave. Seeing these people in in this psychotic state made me understand why people historically have considered these psychotic people to be possessed by some unnatural force, like a demon or whatever, as much of their uncontrolled behaviour and speech is so far off what we call normal behaviour and language use and noone had an explanation for it.
It’s a chemical imbalance in the brain that causes this “possession”, it is easy to recreate similiar states of mind with the use of drugs. Like LSD and mescaline. But also by making yourself subject to extreme stress, like starvation, sleep deprivation, being close to dying, experience a trauma….
(psychosis and schizophrenia is not the same thing, anyone can become psychotic i dare say but anyone can not develop schizophrenia)

I’d like to add one important thing. The bulls*hit about demons and other hellish creatures are not helping these people as it is very easy for a sensitive mind like a schizophrenic’s to adopt these nonsense ideas, and make them a part of themselves. This causes them to become more ill.
That’s another good argument to why we should battle the paranormal nonsense people are spreading around.

I have only experienced the one demon, he didn’t like when the good spirit Erica that came to help me for years, so he try to confuse me hopes that I would push away the good spirit. So if you experience a good spirit that comes to help, expect a demon to come along, they don’t like when we are being helped.

His second conviction was from burglarizing a home (it was probably not his first or second burglary). Each of his convictions stem from each decade. You decide if that’s a career or not. You bleeding hearts, why don’t you take him into your neighborhood and leave the rest of us alone?

I can not believe it, it made? me cry what I heard here, Californians must put an end to this outrage. In Manitoba, shopper lifters does not even step in jail at all and repeat offenders of minor crimes get 6 months at most… who said we humans are a civilized race??!!
lest everyone forgets to mention that the 3 strikes law was voted in by the people via a proposition on the ballot in a previous? election just as legalizing marijuana in CA was. how dare people criticize people who voted for 3 strikes as racists. why don’t you people who feel sorry for these thugs invite these people into your homes or live next to them as neighbors? then maybe u can get it that most people cannot be reformed.
