Why Do People Hate Christians?
Question by dustin b: why do people hate Christians?
I am a Christian. I believe that there are a lot of Christians out there that do treat people wrong and who give Christianity a bad rep. So much that it hurts when I see that people dislike us so much. Westboro Baptist Church is a good example of this. Not all Christians are that way and I wanted to get maybe a few opinions on what we can do to improve our tactics, or behavior.

Drug Possession: ROBIN THICKE Popped for Pot Possession
Robin Thicke has been arrested for marijuana possession in New York City … this according to law enforcement. According to law enforcement, 34-year-old Thicke was busted this afternoon in Manhattan near Madison Square Park — after police claim they saw the singer lighting up a joint inside a black SUV. Sources tell TMZ, Robin was extremely cooperative — and even signed a couple autographs. Thicke was given a desk appearance ticket and released soon after. A rep for Robin Thicke had no comment. Fun fact: Robin is the son of actor Alan Thicke, who played Jason Seaver on “Growing Pains.” www.tmz.com

Not everybody hates us, they disagree and we disagree with them but we can all be tolerant of each others beliefs.
Ever hear the phrase, “You can dish it out, but you can’t take it”? Christians have been on the attack for years now, trying to deny rights to homosexuals, trying to outlaw abortions, trying to keep women from obtaining equal rights, and trying to impose their own morals – many of them non-biblical – on the rest of society. Non-Christians are finally fighting back by speaking out against their campaigns, their media onslaughts, and their mistaken notions of truth, and the Christians don’t like it very much. They can dish it out, but they can’t take it. So when people of good conscience stand up for their rights, Christians cry “foul play.” They claim to be hated.
because they dont understand what we believe in. we really need to pray for our nation, and the people. that dont know god.
I don’t hate you personally, I just think you are wrong.
I don’t hate Christians.
I do hate their hypocrisy and their desire to create laws forcing everyone live by their religious beliefs.

I’m Agnostic, but to say that I hate Christians is to say that I hate damn near all of my family members because they are Christians.
I dislike the intolerance some Christians display, by criticizing other beliefs.

Do not confuse disagreement with hate.
I don’t. But I do dislike those Christians who claim ‘persecution’ just because people disagree with their dominionist religious claims.
How Christianity (as a majority) can claim ‘persecution’ after years of anti-semitism, slavery, demonizing non-believers, inquisitions, ‘blood libels’, crusades, witch burnings, conquistadors, storing the World’s wealth…etc etc etc..
…well, it galls, how could it not…especially when ‘persecution’ just so happens to be one of their prophet’s ‘prophecies’.
Hence disagreement = ‘persecution’. Christians get to demonize non-believers 24/7 , yet they claim they are persecuted?
