Does Cocaine Really Make People Angry? How Does It Compare to Alcohol?

Question by Bryan: Does cocaine really make people angry? How does it compare to alcohol?
I am not planning on using cocaine myself, but I have heard that one of the reasons why Tony Montana went nuts in the last scene of Scarface is because he was high on cocaine.

That being said, how does it compare to alcohol? Because alcohol inhibits judgment, I find that after I have had some alcohol, I am more likely to yell at my dog when he annoys me. The feelings are the same, but I am looser in how I express them.

Does cocaine have the same effect, or does it literally cause anger?

I’ve never seen cocaine make someone angry, and yes I have done it many times in the past.

and it doesnt compare to alchohol in any way what so ever its not even apples and oranges its like comparing apples to a puppy.

The similarities are the effects on the lives of yourself and your loved ones. By the time you wake up and realize it is too late anymore to fix what has been destroyed. You may as well hop into a rocket and take off. The blast leaving those behind broke and destroyed beyond hope for you. And like poisonous snake that has struck, curls you up in its warm grip and swallows you only to leave you in a pile of dung afterwords. That is where both are similar. You both have managed to turn yourselves into piles of dung. Each with its own particular smell.

Alcohol will lower ones inhibitions. Alcohol is a depressant, though. Although some people appear to be energized in the short-term by having been drinking, the results are that of a depressant. People will speak and behave in a more casual, less regimented way when they’re intoxicated. They lose their inhibitions and ability to self-edit. They’ll take more risks, behave more recklessly and will have slower reactions. Alcoholics can become aggressive and belligerent on alcohol..
but this speaks to the chemical make up of the individual, other mental or emotional issues, and personality.

Some people can become brutish drunks, while others will become weepy and whiney. Some will have an upbeat, feel from a couple of cocktails, but after three will change entirely..becoming sloppy, slurry, rude, inconsiderate..and yell at their dog.

Cocaine is a direct stimulent. (opposite of a depresant) = if one were to over-load on Red Bull, Espresso, Diet Pills, or any chemical (RX medication or illegal street drug) would hype the person up. All senses are affected by a direct stimulant. They would speak louder, faster and would appear to be manic. They’ll be physically active, and showing signs of being overly-stimulated, such as grinding/gnashing teeth, agitated, irritated, pacing..alot of activity but not necessarily effective with what they are working on. The term “striving but not arriving” comes to mind. If you’ve ever known or seen a child who’s been diagnosed with ADD or AD HD (Attention Deficit Disorder) it would be indicative of someone who’s overly stimulated, but with ADD, it’s naturally occurring.

The Scarface character was overly emotional, prone to rants, outbursts, over-reactions, violence and this would be true of a real-life person who was using Cocaine on a constant basis. Sleep deprivation would be present..no sleep, no rest..very agitated. The user becomes paranoid and convinced others are after them, or will get them. Their pupils would be pin-pointed and you’d see rapid breathing, forehead vein throbbing, and hyperactive. They would be concentrating on small, intricate actions (going through all their CDs, or organizing drawers, as if driven), they would be over-thinking everything, and non-stop talking. People high on Cocaine or Speed or Methamphetamine are called “Tweekers” because they are known to be driven to constant, intricate actions..running around like a Chicken with no head. They forget about grooming, bathing, eating, and almost everything else.

I can’t link you to it because I’m on my mobile, but you can ask/answer questions re: drugs & alcohol at:
