Drug Possession: Arrested: Lakewood High School Burglar Bobby Wilson
Bobby Wilson, 08/26/64 of 2921 Freemont Terrace South, St. Petersburg As a result of the media’s airing of security camera video of a series of burglaries to Lakewood High School in the month of June, a suspect has been identified and arrested. Bobby Wilson turned himself in at police headquarters yesterday afternoon after a close family member saw press footage of the burglaries, recognized Wilson and contacted detectives. That same family member was instrumental in getting Wilson to turn himself in. The family member does not wish to be identified. Wilson was interviewed by detectives and acknowledged his involvement in all three burglaries. He told detectives that he committed the burglaries due to his crack cocaine addiction. Wilson was released from state prison in October of 2010 after serving 3 years on various burglary and drug possession charges. Currently Wilson has been charged with three counts of burglary and has a bond of 000. Original Release: In the month of June there have been three burglaries committed to Lakewood High School, 1400 54 Avenue South, during the night time hours. It is believed the same suspect has been involved in all three cases as his image has been captured on school security video. Once inside the school, the suspect utilizes a pry bar to open soft drink machines and takes change. The suspect is a black male who appears to be in his mid-twenties, 5’9″ tall with a muscular build. He is shirtless and appears to have a 12 inch long …
