He could become erratic in trying to find it, possible searching small areas where he used to do the drug to find any trace possible left of it. Maybe even chekcing the carpet for spilled residue. he may become increasingly irritable, shake uncontrollably, vomit from the withdrawl, scratch himself or walls. Each person reacts different. I would watch the movie RUSH with Jason Patrick and Jennifer jason Leigh. Not only is it informative, it’s based on a true story. If you go to certain centers, they will give pamplets for those addictions and info about them from inhalents to coke to heroin. They are free and there are people there who treat those with addiction and can provide you with steps you need to take.

Their are a few physical symptoms such as shakes, loss of appetite and constipation (mainly due to decreased food intake) but the main probs are psychological – severe paranoia and mood swings, aggression, bad temper ‘tantrums’ and depression. He may also want to alienate those closest to him and withdraw from day to day life.
Sorry if this is a bit harsh but its the way it is. Having said that, taking the odd line here prob does no harm and is very different from a full on addiction.
Good luck. x

Cocaine is a stimulant drug, so the withdrawal will basically be the opposite symptoms that the drug creates. A person going through cocaine withdrawal will be depressed and unmotivated. They might get depressed enough to become suicidal. Before they become this depressed they will make their best attempt to find more cocaine.
