How Come I Never Got Addicted to Cocaine or Cigarettes Like Some People Do if I Done It Before?
Question by Callate Puta: How come I never got addicted to cocaine or cigarettes like some people do if I done it before?
I used to snort alot cocaine with my ex and smoke alot of cigarettes. But once I stopped hanging out with him , I didnt have the supply anymore even though I know I can really find it if I wanted too. How come some people claim cocaine is sooo addicting? How come I never got addicted to it? I never had a problem putting it down the same with cigarettes. Does it have to do with brain chemistry? Some people have addicting personalities, I dont know?
I did have a problem putting down alcohol though. Though not as strong as a alcoholic, I find it more addicting than cocaine and cigarettes.

Genetics and predisposition. You are lucky but, many believe that it is a cumulative total, different for each of us, that flips a switch so to speak. You got lucky and didn’t reach your limit but it could very easily happen.
Yes it has to do with both, personalities as well as brain chemistry’s. Heroin addicts and alcoholics have one thing in common, they don’t process sugars they same way a “normal”person does. They still don’t know why that is but it is. A heavy or a problem drinker who appears to be an alcoholic, doesn’t have that same issue which shows, it’s not the abuse that triggers it.
