Sharpes, Florida November 8, 2007 Bailiffs had to move fast to break up a fight between inmates inside a Brevard County jail courtroom. The sudden outburst of violence stunned the courtroom at the jail in Sharpes. The man who started the trouble could face additional punishment. A security camera captured the moments that led up to the courtroom scuffle. A judge was going through the n More..ormal motions of first appearance hearings on Tuesday afternoon. When 21-year-old Cameo Jones entered the inmate seating area, a handcuffed Leaundrea Parker attacked. Deputies finally wrestled Parker to the floor. As they led him from the room, Parker threatened to kill the other man. The inmates were checked for injuries, but they did not appear to be hurt. Parker could face 30 days in solitary confinement for starting the fight. He would only be allowed out for showers. After that, Parker could be place in a cell with one other inmate. Jail officials may also take away his commissary and visitation privileges. Jail records show Parker is being held on concealed firearms, resisting arrest and battery on a police officer charges. Jones is facing charges of grand theft auto, possession of cocaine and attempting to elude a police officer. Jail officials still aren’t saying what caused the fight.
