That amount of money buys politicians, police forces, customs agents, & many weapons. 300 billion buys weapons like aircraft carriers, subs, fighter jets (not that they need them), but tons of assault? rifles & ammunition. Drug trade is flourishing in its illegal form, why not legalize it, save billions, save lives, and collect taxes on it? Help the economy, legalize it.

It’s sad that prisons in the US are thought of as a business by some. Shares in prisons are traded publicly on the stock market. That creates an obvious moral dilemma.
