DUI, Drugs A 26-year-old Glen Mills woman was arrested for DUI and drug possession, 9:45 p.m., Jan. 31, after she was stopped for vehicle code violations. Police say she exhibited signs of drug impairment and was in possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia.

Judge rules Merrill eligible to hold office
A New Iberia city councilman will keep his seat after a judge denied a suit claiming he was ineligible to hold office. Judge Gerard Wattigny ruled that David Merrill is qualified to hold office because drug possession charges against him were dismissed after he completed a court-appointed drug program.
