Question by svetlana: What are some signs that somebody is on Ecstasy or Cocaine?
A student came to class today looking distant and she is usally on task. She kept staring at her hands or out the window and smiling, while rubbing her face the whole time. She then kept touching stuff to her face, then stared at her hands for about 10 minutes. I didn’t have the chance to see her eyes. Could she have been on ecstasy?

She also had a powdery substance around her nose, but it didn’t seem like she was on cocaine or meth. Could she have done both?

She could have. The signs of Ecstacy, meth and cocain are quite similar.

eyes get noticeably bloodshot,
eyes go out of focus often,
Fidgeting,
Touching body parts excessively, like arms, legs or face,

Those are just some of the warning signs. I would speak to her about it, if I were you. You don’t indicate in the question if you are her teacher or her peer, but Keeping mind she may have just been having an off day.

She probably didn’t use both meth and cocaine at the same time there is no use.

Cocaine numbs your face maybe that’s why she was touching her face.

Cocaine also makes you talk like 100 mph.

Could she have been on ecstacy ? sure.

Could she have been sick? Yes
Could she have just had a sexual encounter that made her wanna just look out the window and smile? YES
Powdery substance? like what? powdered doughnuts? makeup? dried jizz?
Look at the totality don’t just go thinking stuff.
