Why is cocaine listed as a schedule 2 drug while marijuana is schedule 1? Does this make sense and is this telling me that marijuana is more harmful than cocaine?

Marijuna is concidrred to be more dangerous then cocaine and more profitable this is why it will be a classA drug and cocaine not

On the surface it doesn’t make sense. However, cocaine had known medicinal value in nose and sinus surgery when the drugs were classified where as weed had no medicinal value. Opinion: don’t hold your breath expecting this to change anytime soon.

No..it’s more like a category, not a level of ranking the “dangerousness” of the drug.
lolnow that i think about it…the fact that it’s labeled “Schedule 1 Narcotic” probably doesn’t help the public’s perception on it…
The awnser lies back in the 1930’s and just before when they started calssifiying drugs in schedules.
BEcause of some Intense propoganda mariujana somehow endud up more “dangerous” than barbituates. LOL .
As if a shot of heroin is much better for you than a joint. Hehehe
It wont change. No politician wil be ready to admit they have been wrong for 80 odd years.
