Full Newscast- One man is sought in connection to a large scale marijuana grow A new clothing company cuts its ribbon The Democrats hold their Jefferson Jackson Dinner (NCSO Bust Cavallo) One man is wanted by the Nye County Sheriff Department who they say is the main suspect in connection to two homes used to grow and sell Marijuana. (Cocaine Bust reader no photo) It’s being called the biggest cocaine bust in Nevada’s history. Nevada Highway Patrol and Las Vegas Metro Police confiscated 452 pounds of cocaine during a traffic stop this morning near Jean, Nevada. The cocaine is estimated to have a street value of .4 million dollars. Police say they stopped a truck driver, in a cab only with no trailer, who was traveling northbound on I-15 about 12:30 am this morning. Police say the cocaine was hidden in 10 bags in the sleeper section of the cab. Police made the stop when they noticed the driver Gaston Danjou was driving erratically. A search was conducted by Metro and NHP officers after Danjou gave them conflicting stories. Danjou had come from the Central Valley California area. His destination is unknown at this time. He is facing charges of possession of cocaine, trafficking cocaine and transporting a controlled substance. Possession Of Cocaine: Breaking News: Britain Cocaine Plot Mastermind Found Guilty

A career criminal who masterminded a plot to smuggle one-and-a-half tonnes of cocaine into the UK has been found guilty and sentenced to 28 years in prison. John Brooks, aged 61, who is originally from Blackpool, but had been living in Marbella, Spain, assembled a crew to import the cocaine, worth an estimated £134m, on board the boat Dances with Waves. In November 2008, the boat was intercepted by authorities 170 miles off the south west coast of Ireland. It had set sail from Trinidad in the Caribbean and stopped off in Venezuelan waters to pick up the cocaine before heading for Liverpool. The drugs seizure was one of the largest in Irish history. Sentencing Brooks, the judge, Recorder Sanghera, said the haul had been a “horrifyingly large amount” of cocaine and that he was convinced the 61 year old had played a “leading role” in this plot, and in “drug trafficking generally”. Brooks, who was arrested in November 2011 while visiting family in Blackpool, was sentenced today at Birmingham Crown Court after being found guilty of conspiracy to import cocaine. Crew members Philip Doo and David Mufford, from Devon, and Christopher Wiggins, who had been living on the Costa del Sol, were arrested at the time of the seizure. They pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine with intent to supply, and were each jailed for ten years in 2009. (Full Newscast) (0104 Tease) Three are arrested for burglary and drug possession Highway 160 is blocked while mercy air lands for an accident victim One woman is ejected when her van crashes in a ditch (Ax RO Hwy 160) A medical patient transport vehicle carrying a patient rolled over in route to Pahrump this afternoon on northbound Hwy 160 just south of town. (Tag) A large amount of cash was also located inside the vehicle at the time of the accident. Occording to law enforcement the investigation does not reveal at this point that anything illicit activities are involved in this accident. (Ax Hwy 160)One woman was ejected from her van last night on highway 160 in front of Spring Mountain Motor sports. Her 4 year old daughter was also in the vehicle. (NCSO Arrest Garcia Bostain) Deputies arrested three suspects on Mesquite for various charges. (Ax Wilson Lola) A minor two vehicle accident occurred this morning on Wilson and Lola in front of Desert View Hospital (NCSO Sat Patrol Reader no photo) The Nye County Sheriff’s have released their saturation patrol report for the New Year’s weekend, focused on Driving Under the Influence.
