Will Possession of Marijuana Show Up on Background Check? NEED HELP ASAP!?
Question by Eric: Will Possession of marijuana show up on background check? NEED HELP ASAP!?
So basically I’ve just been offered a position at a ups facility in Connecticut. All they are waiting for is my background check but i have a question.. 6 months ago i was “arrested” for possession of marijuana (small amount) and since then have been placed in a drug education program (which i still attend for another month). So my main question is
1. Will this show up on my record as a conviction or what??
2. Does this mess up my chance for getting the job (package handler)

You took a deferred sentence.
Taking this class is in exchange for a sentence. How do people not understand their sentence!!!??
You accepted a 1st offender diversion program – a drug class in exchange for no record. Paying the fines, completing community service and / or a drug program leaves no record of conviction.

I Got Convicted of a Misdemeanor, Is My Dream of Becoming a CPA Gone?
Question by Stephen Riach: I got convicted of a misdemeanor, is my dream of becoming a CPA gone?
A really stupid thing happened. Basically, a “friend” sold me a camera, and a few days later, the police were at my door. Questions were asked, and it came down to “Did you think the camera was stolen?” And my reply was, “Well, I thought it might be, but I wasn’t certain.” They wrote this down on a piece of paper and had me sign it. Apparently, I was signing my own confession. I was convicted of “possession of stolen property.” I really wanted to become a Certified Public Accountant. Would anybody still give me a job with this conviction? I’m so bummed.

I don’t think you’ll have an issue. I think the licensing board only looks at higher grade offenses… not what you confessed to.
Can I Be Fined for Possession of a Hookah?
Question by : Can I be fined for possession of a hookah?
So I’m currently living in Student Housing in the state of Hawaii. Long story short, I guess there was “room checks” and they found a hookah in my room. It has only been used for legal tobacco, yet my building fined me 500$ for it, saying that it was”drug paraphernalia”. Would it be worth fighting this? I think 500$ for a hookah is a little absurd!

Hookah’s aren’t illegal in the u.s.
Basically, with the guilty until proven innocent, you can possibly have a test run on any traces still inside?
I’m not really sure how it would work..
