Hypothetically speaking if an average person was to take cocaine by inhaling it or smoking it. For example let’s say one gram around how many hours after they stopped would they be able to fall asleep. Thanks its for an essay

With any medication or drug, the person’s body weight, what they’ve been eating, and what their mood is will affect all the typical side effects. You can say that consciousness is a side effect of taking something like cocaine or any other stimulant.

So for your essay, I would give all these variables, calculate an average person’s size, what they would have eaten at what time, and what their mood is before answering this question fully. Also think about genealogy and what other mental illnesses or physical ones (heart disease, for example) that person may be predisposed to add to that.    Read more...

I always thought it was because of his legal troubles and addiction issues.

In 2008 there was media speculation surrounding Dourdan’s contract negotiations with CBS. The parties could not reach a resolution and as a result his contract was not renewed. It was reported on April 14, 2008, that Dourdan was leaving the show.

In 2005, he pleaded no contest to misdemeanor battery after his ex-girlfriend Anne Greene accused him of rape and battery. He was sentenced to stay away from Greene and attend domestic violence counseling. In 2006, Dourdan sued Greene for $ 4 million, alleging slander and negligent infliction of emotional distress.    Read more...

Question by Fahad G: The drug COCAINE effects!?
The drug cocaine in addition to blocking ion channels, also blocks catecholamine reuptake. How would this transport disruption lead to many of the drug effects seen in users?

Cocaine inhibits the Na+/Dopamine(A catecholamine) antiporter, which uses the ion gradient of sodium to transport Dopamine back into the presynaptic cell. Inhibition of this antiporter will cause the dopamine to be present in the synaptic cleft for a longer period of time, enhancing its effect.

Dopamine is a neurotransmitter used in the central nervous system, and it’s responsible for the sensations of pleasure and extasy we feel. So, enhancing those signals will make you feel really good.

My younger sister does cocaine.. She wont listen to me at all.. I wanna know what Can i give her to eat or drink.. So it wont affect her system as much?? .. HELP

Water is the best thing you can give her. Also you can’t control her but you can sit her down and tell her why it’s dangerous and if you know anyone who’s ODed mention it….if she’s in her earlier teen years tell your parents

You really need to tell someone right away. It may get her in a bit of trouble but she needs to stop and the sooner the better. Cocaine is highly addictive and she needs to get help before it spirals out of control. Please. Get her help.    Read more...
