Cocaine Question and Expungement?

Question by sp33dster: Cocaine question and expungement?
I got a DUI and had a small bag that had cocaine residue on it. I was not charged for the cocaine when I went to jail. Could I be charged later on?

And if I do is there anyway to fight it? Or get it expunged? I’m only 20 years old and it wasn’t my cocaine 🙁 I found it in a cigarette box that was on the ground and I just happened to have it in my pocket when I got arrested.

I’m young, made a mistake, and I don’t want this to effect my future!

It is possible you could be charged later on, if there is enough residue to test. There is no legal limit of cocaine, so it is a matter of discretion, not a matter of law.

“Possession” and “ownership” are two different things. That fact it was not yours does not matter. The fact it was in your possession does matter.

don’t expunge anything . it will look allot worse than what it really was you have nothing to hide from anyone. a mistake is only a mistake when you decide not to fix the problem and since you cant go back in time to fix the problem. trying to hide it is just as bad as not correcting it. listen these experiences you have in life mold you into the person that you are today. you learned from it.( i hope you did ) and you move on a little wiser. cut the CRAP out of you’re life don’t drink. thank god you got pulled over before you could of gotten into some serious trouble. you could have hurt someone or family and gone to jail for 5 to 10 years. now ask yourself was the fun i had worth it? since the answer is no! don’t put yourself in situations you’re going to regret later. by the way try to think of you’re future before you go and do anything not after everything happens.god be with you and all you’re decisions…
