Many familiar anesthetics like marcaine and lidocaine, that doctors and dentists use all the time.

all of the caines are similar in effect. lidocaine comes to mind when looking for a legal example compared to cocaine. they are anesthetics, and the effect ultimately depends on the route of administration.
